2019 Inaugural Conference June 1-2, 2019

CALL for PAPER

 

The Asian Network for the Philosophy of the Social Sciences (ANPOSS) is pleased to announce its first bi-annual conference that will be held on June 1-2, 2019 at Nankai University, in Tianjin, China. We welcome submissions in any area and on any problem related to the philosophy of the social sciences and encourage not only philosophers, but also social scientists whether professors or students interested in the philosophy of the social sciences to submit or participate in the conference. Through special arrangement between ANPOSS and the editors of the journal, selected papers from the conference will be published in a special issue of the Philosophy of the Social Sciences. ANPOSS is a young association whose goal is to promote exchange between all those interested in the philosophy of the social sciences mainly in Asian regions but also elsewhere in the world. We therefore encourage persons from both Asian and non-Asian regions to submit. For this, its inaugural conference, ANPOSS has also secured the participation of four prestigious keynote speakers from Asia, Europe, and North America:

 

Professor Fan Guangxin from China, Nankai University,

Professor Daniel Little from the United States, University of Michigan-Dearborn,

Professor Uskali Mäki from Finland, University of Helsinki,

And Professor Tang Shiping from China, Fudan University.

 

Submissions should be made in the form of abstracts of approximately 500 words prepared for blind refereeing and should be submitted to the following email address: anposs3@aol.com. The submission deadline is November 15, 2018 and notification of acceptance is January 10, 2019.
